Heaven always releases warnings so that God’s people can prepare for impending danger. Now is not the time for us to be apart but we must come together.   \nThe Bible has even admonished us “not giving up meeting together\, as some are in the habit of doing\, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25 \nYou can see the warnings in the weather\, news\, and just everyday life. Will you be ready for this next storm? Are you connected to a house – a people – a pastor – a movement that will not only help you survive but thrive in whatever is next on the horizon? \nWe believe that there is a tugging in many believers who have distanced themselves from the house of God to get reconnected. SUMMARY:Prayer Vigil Against Domestic & Gun Violence
DESCRIPTION:Even though 2025 has started out rough in our nation\, and even in some of our communities\, I hope you are experiencing an abundance of happiness and health. As many of you know\, on December 26th a double homicide took place in Park Forest where a firearm was used. A 51 year old grandmother and her 30 year old daughter were shot to death in the 300 block of Miami\, leaving two children traumatized and without their loved ones. You can find out more about this horrible tragedy HERE. \nThis Wednesday\, January 8th @ 6 pm\, a Prayer Vigil for Victims of Domestic Gun Violence is being held at Grace United Protestant Church in Park Forest. (flyer below) The young people who are apart of our Youth Violence Prevention & Creative Arts program will be performing in dance and giving their “Stop Playing Games Violence Prevention” speeches towards the end of the progam which is scheduled for about an hour. I strongly recommend that local residents and community stakeholders spread the word. I hope you can help us do it. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have questions about the event.
