Failure has been designed to make you give up and fall short of your purpose. Failure is when you fail at some THING and it brings with it feelings of depression, disappointment, hopelessness and helplessness. Its goal is to make you feel that you are not capable of accomplishing what you’ve set out to do. You must come against failure with the words of your mouth, speaking in the atmosphere what you are, “I am successful!” And what you are not, “I am not a failure!”
Failure will make you think that things are the same even when they have changed. It is a loud, bold, lying spirit that tries to out-speak and usurp any victory that exists in your life. It tries to clog your understanding of who you really are by defining you as that THING that you have failed at. It deceives you into thinking you are in a lower state than you actually are.
Don’t be fooled! This spirit doesn’t just come when you are unsuccessful at doing something or when your plans have fallen through but it comes in the midst of victory and in the midst of triumph as well. Failure is a condition designed to weigh down and weary you even when you may have good going on, even when there is breakthrough. It always comes before your next breakthrough! And if you have just had a victory it will try and infiltrate your life because it knows you are on to something and another victory is on the way! Too many victories and it knows that you are unstoppable!
We have been surrounded by systems of failure. Our banks have failed us, the economy, politicians, spiritual leaders… Marriages are failing, businesses are failing! We even fail ourselves by not upholding our personal commitments to ourselves!
Genesis 47:15 says that money failed during Joseph’s time. However, the remedy and the key was Joseph had a dream that he believed in. He believed in his dream in the pit, the prison and the palace. He never stopped dreaming!
Your cure to address Failure is to keep on dreaming! Even if you are incapacitated and you can’t move, you can dream! Even if you’ve been silenced by people or the lack of paper (money) you can still dream! Even if you have seemingly missed your season keep dreaming! Seasons do change but they also come back around again!
Joseph had faith in his dream even when there was no natural manifestation of what he had dreamt. He believed in his dream so much until he positioned himself to be a blessing to nations in a season where the economy was failing. He trusted his gift! He trusted his God!
God will never fail you! (Deuteronomy 31:8 and Joshua 1:5)
You are not a failure! Failure is an event that creates an emotion! Don’t embrace it!
